QUEEN’S STUDENT BRANCH
ADVANCING TECHNOLOGY FOR HUMANITY
Welcome to the Queen’s University Student Branch of IEEE, under the Kingston Section. We are a growing group of Electrical & Computer Engineering students from Queen’s University dedicated to connect students to the industry. Through various conferences and IEEE certified lectures, we help students develop professional skills, learn about the latest technology, get inspired to innovate, and have fun along the way. Join IEEE today!
WHAT WE DO
Every year, QIEEE hosts workshops and lectures featuring IEEE distinguished lecturers. IEEE Distinguished Lecturers are engineering professionals who help lead their fields in new technical developments that shape the global community. These experts:
- specialize in the field of interest of their Society/Council;
- travel to various technical and regional groups, such as Society and Technical Council Chapters, to lecture at events.
Connect With Industry
We host various networking events including conferences which are geared towards connecting students with recruiters in the industry. This year we are hosting SPAC (Student Professional Awareness Conference) featuring speakers from different industry leaders. Stay tunes for more updates on SPAC on the EVENTS page.
Exam Review Sessions
For the benefit of Electrical and Computer Engineering students at Queen’s University, QIEEE organizes affordable exam review sessions accessible to both IEEE members and non-members. WE host reviews sessions for various courses from second, third and forth year. Sessions are hosted for both midterm and final examinations. More information about upcoming review sessions will be posted on the EVENTS page.
